liminal light photobook

I have always been inspired by surrealism and works of art that are cerebral and otherworldly in nature, from representative art to abstract art as well. One of my preferred mediums is photography, and I prefer pieces that evoke emotion over documentation or fact.
In one of my most recent large-scale projects, I created a photo book titled “liminal light.” In this project I aimed to explore the threshold of light and spaces, and ways to use color, light and shadow to capture moments that feel transitional or “in between.” I wanted these elements to interact in ways that challenge how they are typically perceived, or to convey the feeling that a threshold is precariously being occupied. This is one of my personal favorite bodies of work, as it connects to who I am as a person and my struggles with reality and mental variation very deeply.
